I travel alot for work and only take a wee netbook with me when I do. Unable to play a game on this I generally only get potentially 4-8 days a month to game. Thus I have completely given up gaming this year.
Was looking at upgrading to a new notebook in 2-3 days but was curious if anyone had much experience with Tablet PCs and gaming and if so how it might actually run with darkspace? Any benifits / drawbacks.

Jbud and others here at DS helped me peice it together.
Runs DS on highest settings no lag. (lag now due to shotty ISP)
Runs crysis and crysis 2 on highest settings with no problems at all.
Runs Maya and After affects together without problems.
The only thing ive done to slow it down was copy and pasted a model with 40,000 Verts 9 times in the same instance.

The new AMD notebooks (look for their Fusion chipsets) are incredible at gaming. You won't be running anything on high, but they could handle Crysis on low/medium settings, so it gives you an idea...
They're not stupidly expensive either, £400~ over here.

Well...If price isnt a big issue for you , you could try what I use. which is an alienware M11x, its slightly bigger than a notebook being one inch more, it has light up keybord which you can change colors on through a pre installed program. it has plenty of memory, good graphics....and depending on what you want you can get an i5 or core duo processor, It has a decent keybord, long battery life if you have it set on power saver, ( i left it running without a charge for 20 hours,) also you can have they keybord and other lit up areas alternate colors through the advanced settings. Its light strong and is pretty easy to use...

Xlent, cheers for the input.
Yeah I had a good look at those alienware PCs and they are beautiful notebooks. Unfortunately I would be looking at up to 2 weeks before I could get it delivered. And I am like a 10 yr old 2 days before xmas. I have not got the patience.
I had hoped that someone may have had some experience gaming with the touch screens.
Thanx again
